You are scared of losing data from your mobile phone or you are prompted of insufficient memory on your phone so you want to find a PC suite to help you backup all your phone data to the computer. You have switched to a new phone and need to transfer all crucial data from old phone to the new one. With Android File Manager, you can backup everything from your phone to computer and transfer between different phones with ease.
Launch the Program and Connect Your Device to Computer
After the installation, double-click the desktop icon to run the program on your computer. Then plug your Android phones to computer via its USB cable. Wait for a moment, the program will automatically detect your smart phones.
Make the Program Recognize Your Phone
First of all, please be sure that your mobile phone is connected to the computer.
Then, enable USB Debugging on your phone. If you’re not sure whether the USB Debugging is enable, you can check it as follow:
– For Android OS 2.0-2.3, Go to Setting->Application->Development->USB Debugging;
– For Android OS 3.0-4.1, go to Setting->Developer Options-> USB Debugging;
– For Android OS 4.2 or later, go to Setting-> Developer Options, (If you did not find the Developer Options, go to About Device, and tap “Build number” 7 times in rapid succession then back to the Setting page, and then you will find it.), Turn on Developer Options->USB Debugging.
Notes: If you did not find the Developer Options, please do it as follow:
Step 1, go to About Device;
Step 2, tap “Build number” 7-10 times in rapid succession, you’ll see a playful dialog that says you are now 4 steps away from being a developer;
Step 3, back to the Setting page, you’ll find the Developer Options.
Finally, run the program and it’ll connect your Android phone automatically. When below image appears, please choose “USB Debugging Opened” and click “Next” button.
The program will start detecting your phone’s information. After that, it will download the right driver and install on your computer. Please wait some more time to finish it.
After downloading the driver successfully, one window will pop up to install the driver, below is an example of for installing the driver of Samsung Galaxy S4, click Next button. If you’re using other android phones, please just do it as requires to install the driver.
Example:
Select Language and Country, then click “Next” button to select the installation location, and directly press “Install” button to begin the installing process. Wait for a little while, the installation will be finished, and you can check the process in the pop-up window as you like. When the program inform you that the installation of the USB driver is completed, you can click “Finish” button and you’ll get the following prompts.
At present, you will find the following prompts in the task bar which located at the bottom right of your desktop. Just click it for the installing status, please wait for several minutes until all of the items are ready to use.
Restart the iStonsoft Android File Manager on your computer, and then you’ll get the information as below “Authorization on device is required in order to continue. Please check your phone screen and authorize the PC by clicking ‘OK’ button on the phone.”. Just follow the instructions, and then the program will recognize your phone and you can see the detailed information of your phone in the main interface.
Import or Export Files from Between Android Devices and Computer
On the top of the panel, you can click Apps, Music, SMS, Photo, Video, Book, etc. image button to check the detailed files on the program. And click “Import” or “Export” button to grap files into the your Android devices or copy data from Android to computer for further use.

Send Messages
On the tab of “Contacts”, you can click “Send” button to text messages to your family or friends on computer directly. Here, you’re enabled to add multiple contacts in the contact box. And when you have finished the editing process, you can click “Send SMS” to finish the process.
What’s more, you also can click “Send SMS” on the bottom of the main interface. Then it will directly take you to the sending areas.
Install or Uninstall Apps
On the “Apps” category, all your installed apps will be displayed one by one. You can check them and click the “Uninstall” image button to remove any app you don’t want. Furthermore, click “Add App” button can help you install new apps from Google Play as you like.
